Dr Zandar arrives in Millineum City at the beginning of the Qularr invasion, makes his way to Champions HQ and calls the team! He then heads to the SW desert, where the Qularr tried a limited incursion there too (now repelled).

Daye and Knight grew up in the poorer part of the "West Side" of Milineum City. They were constantly plagued by the gang warfare and crime in the area.
Daye was a bubbley young girl growing up, almost always cheerful, no matter what. He attitude in many ways kept her family together in those early years. She manifested her mutant powers (the ability to manipulate and harness light energy) in her early teens, earning her and her family some immunity from the predations of the gangs and thieves. When she graduated High School, she decided almost whimsically to become a 'costumed crime fighter' - patterning herself after some of her favorite Champions. Since then, and since teaming with her brother Knight, she has started to take things a little more seriously, as they find themselves pitted against more capable villains. Despite it all though, Daye maintains a fairly 'sunny' disposition and is often seen trying to cheer her brother up.
Knight was a more serious boy growing up. He was increasingly disturbed by the violence he witnessed around him, and got in more than a few fights. He was an enthusiastic fighter and fencer as well, and got into more than a little trouble transferring those skills to the street. He feels responsible for his younger sister and was a little bitter when her powers manifested, and he was still an 'ordinary kid'. Generally bright, if dour, Knight's luck changed when, after graduation, he got a job as an intern at Argent Industries. One day, while he was a test subject for a new armor suit ostensibly created for the MCPD. An explosion in an adjacent lab destroyed the small building they were using and killed everyone there. The armor saved Knight's life, but he was still burned considerably. After he recovered, he kept the armor and, for a while, almost emulated the criminal activities he so despised. Eventually, his sister won him over, and he agreed to put his skills and his armor to use helping her fight those same gangs and criminals. He is still a morose and very quiet young man, perhaps even moreso after the accident that left him scarred, but his sister helps moderate his mood, as much as he helps keep her serious and focused.

The GUARDIANS - (Click for picture)

Chosen from the best and most honorable of the galaxy's military, warriors and law enforcement, the Guardians are equipped and trained with special power bracers that allow them to control and manipulate force. They are tasked with using thier power to bring down some of the galaxy's worst criminals and invaders. Guardians are given a designation and assigned to patrol certain sectors of the galaxy, usually closest to thier home planets. Occasionally, they will team up to take on larger threats. They often bring personal skills to thier work as well as Guardian powers.
Alex was a military officer and tactician who was chosen to be one of the defenders of our sector of the galaxy as Guardian Omega-67. He is one of several humans picked, as the threats in our sector seem to be greater than others, possibly due to the human propensity for both violence and super-powers.
D'Garr was a special enforcer for a Vargrr politician, skilled in personal combat. He was chosen to defend his part of the galaxy as Guardian Gamma-42, but with things relatively calm there, he was dispatched to our part of the Galaxy to help with the Qularr invasion and other major threats on Earth.
